2. The Challenge:
For my challenge, I chose to cold email someone I genuinely admire a founder or professional in the prodcut space whose work has influenced how I think about pmm. Rather than reaching out through a warm introduction or mutual connection, I committed to crafting a thoughtful, personalized email from scratch and hitting send with no guarantee of a response.Like my, they were also an international student and spent their time dreaking about a big tech job in pm, and now work at adobe! The goal was to practice initiating a meaningful connection with someone outside my existing network, which is something I’ve always found intimidating but know is essential to growth as an emerging entrepreneur.
3. Reflection on the Process:
Designing this challenge myself made me realize how easy it is to set a goal that sounds bold but stays safely vague I had to hold myself accountable to actually identifying a specific person, writing a real email, and sending it. Even before I hear back, the act of articulating why I admire someone and what I genuinely hope to learn from them pushed me to be more intentional about the kind of professional I want to become.
