2.I identified and cold-emailed a senior leader in the biodefense sector to request a 15-minute coffee chat regarding the intersection of federal policy and private venture capital. My goal was to ask specific questions about how defense-tech startups navigate government procurement cycles compared to traditional biotech firms.
3.Creating this challenge forced me to identify exactly what knowledge gap I wanted to fill rather than just networking for the sake of it. It was difficult to narrow down what I wanted to get out of it to something specific enough.
