2 for my challenge, i decided to cold contact two marketing professionals on linkedin whose career paths i admire and ask them for a short virtual coffee chat. reaching out to strangers in a professional setting usually pushes me out of my comfort zone, but i wanted to strengthen my confidence in initiating meaningful conversations. i prepared personalized messages for each person that highlighted my interests and why i hoped to learn from them.
3 creating my own challenge helped me recognize how intentional and proactive networking can be when it’s framed as a growth opportunity rather than something intimidating. the process made me more aware of how taking a small risk — like sending a message — can open doors and build momentum in my professional development.
