Weekly Challenge #2: Pay it Forward _ Adam Bellet

My Act of Kindness:
I noticed an international student who seemed a bit isolated during a study session at the library. I invited them to grab coffee with me, and we ended up talking about our experiences of studying abroad. I also introduced them to a couple of friends from my program so that they could start building their own network here at Berkeley.
Reflection:
This small act of kindness reflected the type of leader I want to become: someone who creates bridges, makes people feel included, and helps others thrive in new environments. It also reminded me that leadership is not only about big decisions but also about everyday choices to support others. By reaching out, I realized how much impact a simple gesture can have on someone’s sense of belonging. This experience reinforced my belief that kindness and innovation go hand in hand—true innovators think beyond themselves and aim to create value for their community.
