The Unspoken Rules of Recruiting Season _ Rodric Smith

The most important skill I learned was when Gorick explained the recruiting process by using the analogy that one person has a magical red button that lands you the job, and while you could go through the standard process of interviews, a more skilled way to approach the application season is to maximize face time at job fairs in order to get your name out within the company. Once you meet enough people and get good references, your name will get to the person with the red button and they will be ready to press it when you have your final interview.

I would want the crowd interaction to not only be kept, but to be promoted even more. These programs are intended for people to interact and get comfortable in the spotlight, and I feel more empowered every time I share at an event so I would like to see it more.

I honestly have no problem to solve. I’m not looking to be recruited and I’m beginning to learn networking skills right now. I attended the event so I could gain experience in general.
