1. The most important insight I walked away with is that networking is less about asking for opportunities and more about building authentic, non-transactional relationships.
2. The most valuable part of the event was hearing practical examples of how to approach and maintain professional relationships.
3. The frustration that I hoped this event would solve was how to reach out to people, at any age. I’m a freshman, so it sometimes seems intimidating to go up to people, and it did help me in finding ways to strike up conversation.
