Sticker Contest _ Emilyne Kim

I understand and agree that any design I submit for this contest that incorporates University of California, Berkeley intellectual property (“University IP”)—including University, department, program or event names, logos, wordmarks, the Campanile, campus buildings, landmarks, images, or other University-related elements—is being created for the University. I agree that the University will own all rights, title, and interest in my submitted design, whether or not it is selected or used, and I will not claim ownership of, reproduce, sell, license, distribute, or otherwise use the design or any portion of it without prior written authorization from the University. I understand that the University may modify, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, or otherwise use the design for University purposes.

Design choices:
Forward-facing bear: The bear is shown striding forward and slightly upward to convey momentum, initiative, and progress. A fitting symbol for innovation fellows who are meant to build, lead, and move ideas forward.

Pointing toward the North Star: The bear’s gaze and nose are directed toward the star to suggest vision. The North Star works as a symbol of having a clear direction, something to orient toward while navigating new ideas, ventures, and uncertainty.
