One networking skill I learned from Gorick Ng is the importance of “showing, not telling” when introducing yourself. Instead of simply listing titles or achievements, he emphasized sharing short, vivid stories that demonstrate your interests and impact. This approach makes conversations more memorable and authentic.
I realized that effective networking isn’t about self-promotion — it’s about creating genuine connections through curiosity, storytelling, and follow-up. I plan to apply this by preparing two or three concise “story snippets” I can share naturally in future networking settings.
