Today, I asked my roommate to try and keep me accountable to wake up early, as we start classes at the same time today. We’re pretty good friends, and so my trust that she will keep her word was well-placed. She did keep me awake very gently and kindly, which is in character for her, so that didn’t surprise me too much. To me, this revealed that communities are often very supportive of each other. We do a lot of activities together, and I believe our trust of each other goes both ways because of our genuineness with each other.
