1. One thing I took away was how much of tech is shaped by decisions that happen before a product ever reaches the user. I found the discussion around AI especially interesting because the question is not only what AI can do, but what people choose to use it for and how that changes the way we work. That made me think about AI less as a standalone technology and more as something that changes existing workflows.
2. I could apply this to my work in Economics and Data Science by paying more attention to the problem behind the dataset or model. For example, if I were building a product using AI, I would want to understand where a user is currently wasting time before deciding that AI should be the solution. That would also help me in product management, since a feature can technically work and still not solve the user’s actual problem.
3. For a future episode, I would love an episode on how AI is changing entry-level jobs in product management and consulting. I would be especially interested in someone who hires college students discussing which tasks they still expect interns or new grads to do themselves, which ones they now use AI for, and what skills are becoming more important as a result.
