1. What’s one new insight you walked away with after exploring this content?

The Moderna and Merck Phase 3 result reframed something for me. I had been thinking about AI in biology mostly as a design problem, better models producing better molecules, but a personalized mRNA cancer vaccine succeeding in a late-stage trial is really a manufacturing and logistics result as much as a computational one.

2. How could you apply something you learned from this challenge to your school, career, or daily life?

I am doing a Capstone project with a startup developing mRNA-delivered epigenetic repressors, and the Dimension Capital conversation gave me a better frame for evaluating it. Their thesis is essentially that the durable value sits in infrastructure rather than in any single asset, which maps directly onto a question my team is working through, whether our client’s lead indication is the commercial opportunity or the proof point for a platform.

3. Is there a topic, question, or person you’d love to see covered on a future episode?
I would like to see an episode on validation infrastructure for AI-designed biology, meaning the wet lab side that has to keep pace with generative models, since companies like Emerald Cloud Lab and the various self-driving lab efforts get far less attention than the model companies but arguably gate the whole field.
