1. An insight I walked away with after exploring the content of Get the Check is that there are resources out there that are catered to college students breaking into the startup world. Sometimes, it seems like there’s another playing field between incubating startups and how we get there. But with resources such as Get the Check, I feel a lot of that is broken down for us to understand.
2. I’ll subscribe to the podcast! I have my own (Aarna’s News, where I interview women in STEM to encourage my audience, younger girls, to pursue such male-dominated fields), and maybe ask if the podcast hosts would like to be on it! Regardless, as I think about the spaces/avenues I’d like to take post-grad, though I’m a freshman, I’ll be tuning into the episodes. I’ll research the companies they interview & learn more about the startup world.
3. More women in the venture space. I think it’s really cool that Anika, Maya, and Priya interview so many people of diverse backgrounds, but definitely knowing that venture and startup spaces themselves are places where I could thrive, as a woman, is comforting to me.
