I am an economics major and I attended UGBA 10X, so it isn’t too far out of my realm of study but I wanted to see if the Haas environment is where I want to eventually end up, and this experience shed light upon it. I enjoyed the lecture style, class dynamic, and lecture material because the energy was motivated and curious. Overall, I am very happy I chose to do this challenge.
We covered the nuances of emotion within leadership, specifically how empathy and perspective-viewing intertwine. I learned that an imbalance of the two in either direction can become detrimental to a leader’s decision making ability, and this lesson directly applies to my interest in entrepreneurial leadership.
