Today, I attended my friend’s Comp Sci 61C class! I figured to try it out since I could come along side. As a media studies major, I have never really been introduced to topics related to engineering and computer science, so I thought I’d take up the challenge to attend lecture! In all honesty, I was not familiar nor understanding a lot – since it seemed like a continuation of a lot of previous lectures. However, I understood that what was taught was the how an assembly can link the software to hardware. A lot of it revolved around equations – but it was interesting that under all of the videos I shoot and socials I post, there is hardware and software that is intentionally calculated to make it happen. It was truly a behind the scenes of technology – which was interesting because I never would have thought of what goes underneath my surface level media career.
