Class Swap! _ Annabelle Rivard

I am double majoring in Cognitive Science and Sociology, and decided to attend Legal Studies 138. I chose to sit in on The Supreme Court and Public Policy course because it is an area that I almost majored in. Public policy was always my main path throughout highschool, and it wasn’t until I got to college that I found I was more drawn to cognitive science. However, part of me has always still been interested in the public policy route and been curious what it would have been like if that were my major. After going to Legal Studies 138, I left feeling content with my major decision, but still fascinated with that area of study. One of my research interests is how those in power like political figures intentionally manipulate society and their beliefs. The class I went to discussed freedom of speech in brief and limited policy behind it, where I found myself connecting it to the papers I’ve read about framing policies.
