I registered for Cal Hacks through the official registration link and attended the hackathon from October 24th–26th. For my project, I worked on CoFounder Match, a web-based platform that makes it easier for builders at Berkeley to find aligned co-founders based on skills, interests, and working styles. The app allows users to input their background and what they’re looking for in a collaborator, then uses similarity scoring to recommend strong matches. The goal is to reduce the friction and social uncertainty of networking, especially for first-time founders who have ideas but don’t know who to build with. The project was prototyped using Lovable (AI app generation) and refined manually to improve UI and matching logic.
