1. I attended an introductory Cognitive Science class. It covered topics related to how the human mind works, including perception, memory, and decision-making, which are quite different from the technical courses I usually take.
2. I chose this class because I wanted to explore something outside my major and see how other disciplines approach problem-solving. Cognitive Science seemed especially interesting since it combines psychology, philosophy, and computer science, giving me a broader perspective that could still connect back to my interests in technology.
3. I discovered that, perhaps because this course is more humanities-oriented, the professor’s policies were relatively flexible, which created a welcoming learning environment. The class content was also very engaging—it offered me new perspectives on how technology and human cognition intersect. I found it refreshing to approach the material from a different angle compared to my major, and it gave me a better appreciation of interdisciplinary learning.
