I study Economics and Data Science at Berkeley and want to build products, and Open Fung interests me because the main thing holding fungi back is missing infrastructure: tools, expertise and standard methods, more than the biology itself. I want to grow and shape mycelium myself to see why these materials are hard to scale, and to learn how a nonprofit decides which tools to build first.
