WEEKLY CHALLENGE

Reverse Mentorship

Points | 15

Submission Deadline | 10.28

What to Submit

How might reverse mentorship be integrated into the SCET Fellows Program to strengthen leadership, learning, and cross-level collaboration?

Reverse mentorship is a mentorship model where people at different levels of experience or seniority learn from one another, with the more junior or less traditionally senior participant also serving as the mentor. It creates opportunities for knowledge-sharing, fresh perspectives, and cross-level collaboration. Read these three short case studies to see how reverse mentorship has been tried and tested in real-world settings.

Your challenge: Create a 5-minute final presentation proposing a creative and feasible reverse mentorship experience to integrate as part of the SCET Innovation Fellows program. Consider how your idea could build on SCET’s three pillars: Networking, Framework, and Mindset.Your format is completely up to you—a slide deck, video, game simulation, or something else entirely!

Your proposal should address:
• Structure: What would the mentorship experience look like?
• KPIs: How would you measure success for mentors and mentees?
• Gamification: How could the experience be made engaging and incentivizing?

Submissions will be reviewed by the SCET Fellows Team & evaluated on creativity and feasibility, with one finalist selected for a meeting with Jennifer Nice, SCET Director of Strategic Initiatives, to discuss bringing their idea to life within the Innovation Fellows program!
